Complaint Details:
I have purchased Royal Enfield Classic 350 in Aug 2016 and have done 6500 kms. I have done all services on time. It is single hand driving with utmost care and concern. My vehicle developed pick up issue last month and when I showed the vehicle to Royal Enfield authorized service centre at whitefield, they said, there is no issue with regard to clutch plates and adjusted the clutch lever saying it was tight. There was no problem fro few weeks and again vehicle developed the pick up issue. I took it an other auhorized service centre i.e. Sai Ram Autocraft and they said that Clutch assembly need to be replaced.
My vehicle is just 1 year old with 6500 kms done. How is it possible to lose the clutch assembly. I have driven two wheeler for decades and never used to get this issue at all. Sai Ram Autocraft have replaced the new clutch assembly set and charged me 3150/- in addition to all other regular charges of INR 2990/- (Total 6140)/- dated 09-09-17. Invoice No. SLINV4872171803224.
In view of the above, I humbly request the concerned team to let me know, how come the clutch assembly gets damaged within 1 year when the vehicle is rode with care and concern. If this is the case, Do I need to replace the clutch assembly frequently ? or the vehicle come with the damaged clutch assembly initially ? If the vehicle has come with the defective clutch assembly, request you to refund the clutch assembly charges billed to me.
I feel terribly upset with regard to the above incident. Hence request you investigate and revert on the above issue.
