I have submitted my EOS 70D DSLR camera for repairing (Was not powering up) on 6th Oct and experiencing worst service in my life. I never expected it from such a big brand.
On 6th Oct, while submitting my Camera I was told by service executives that within 5-10 days I will get a call back after primary inspection however never received any call. Though on Oct 10th, I got a email notification that the work is in progress however after that no email. I sent few reminders and then on Oct 18th I got a reply that “we will be sharing estimated cost SHORTLY” however till today that ‘shortly’ never happened. I sent several reminders on email however no one responded. I called service centers 3 times and every time they said we are escalating it and you will receive a call back within 24 hour but never received.
I am highly frustrated with the way this Mumbai Canon service center is working. I have no clue what is happening with my camera. Diwali is coming up and I need my camera but looks like that is not gonna happen.
I request senior canon management team to tighten up the service workflow. No one can blindly wait. There must be some timeline and escalation mechanism.
